Outsourcing Web Hosting From China - I think Not!
Just saw a few articles today on how some western companies have launched marketing programs targeting Chinese for their web hosting services in U.S. There claim is that with all the recent ISP closures in China, many will look for hosting services outside of the country. To make it short, I think Not!
Have they forgotten about the Great “Firewall of China?” The practice of limiting bandwidth and blocking traffic all together to foreign sites? Sure, some Chinese ISPs were reckless to check whether their customers were hosting unedited forums (and were punished for it), but there are even more of these forums (in english) on the other side - and none of them are monitored!

Anyone who thinks they can sell web hosting to the Chinese market to be used by locals inside of China is an idiot or has never been to China.
Firstly if they make money the government will block their websites to make sure that local chinese companies make money off their citizens and not nasty foreign companies.
Secondly, accessing any foreign hosted website from within China is more of an art than a science, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt, and usually its slower than a 28.8k modem connection.
